Entries are now being taken for the annual Brinsworth Whitehill JFC Gala and Tournament's which is being held on the weekend of June 14th and June 15th 2008 for boys teams and Saturday 21st June 2008 for girls teams.

Hopefully this year's gala will be another success and we have many of the 200 teams entered last year entering again this year.

Team's who have entered will receive confirmation of their entry some time in May as all final details are organised.


Last years annual Brinsworth Whitehill JFC Gala and Tournament's was held on the weekend of June 9th and June 10th 2007.

The gala was another great success as we had over 200 teams entered.

The Annual Gala and Tournament were successfully held over the weekend of 12th and 13th June 2004, with 174 teams in attendance from all around the district and beyond.

The final results were as follows:

Under 7's Wickersley Youth A 1- 0 Millmoor Juniors B

Under 8's Brinsworth Whitehill A 0 - 3 Brampton Rovers A

Under 9's Brampton Rovers A 1- 0 Brinsworth Whitehill A

Under 10's Sheffield Rangers B 1 - 0 Brinsworth Whitehill B

Under 11's Sheffield Rangers B 1 - 0 Brinsworth Whitehill B

The largest entry was at the Under 12's age group with 32 teams taking part and after an 8 hour competition
Mexborough Rovers were the winners over Porter A courtesy of a penalty shoot out.

Under 13's Brimwood Utd A 1 - 0 Sheffield Rangers

Under 14's saw Hucknall based Keycraft Sports A lose to Hyde Park Knights B from Doncaster in a penalty shoot out .

Under 15's Canklow Crusaders 2-1 Rotherham Town B.

The Under 18's was fiercely competitive and was eventually won by
Dearne B with a 2 - 0 victory over Brinsworth Whitehill B

For the first time a girls tournament was held at this years gala and in the final of the
Under 12's Millmoor Juniors A beat Sheffield Rangers A in a penalty shoot out.

The Under 16's Girls was run as a Euro 2004 competition and despite starting off with a 3 - 1 win over France , England lost in the semi finals to Germany 2 - 1 and Germany triumphed 1 - 0 over Holland in the final.
